Does lābhofy need an internet connection?
No. Sales, production, packing, inventory, reports and backups work offline.
A connection is needed only when you use AIDEA AI Scanning, publish your catalogue to your online store, or pick your trade and download the latest starter data. If you're offline when you capture something for AIDEA, you can scan it later.
What is AIDEA?
AIDEA - AI Data Entry Assistance, pronounced like “idea” - gives you one quick way to enter purchases, production batches and orders.
Speak, type, paste, photograph a bill or share something from WhatsApp. AIDEA turns it into a ready entry for you to review and save.
When you use AI Scanning, only that capture is sent for processing. We don't keep a copy, and nothing else leaves your phone.
Which languages does lābhofy work in?
lābhofy is available in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and English - the whole interface, not just the menus.
Choose your language during setup or change it anytime from Settings. The language pack downloads once, then lābhofy works offline in that language. AIDEA can understand voice entries in your language too.
Is my business data stored online?
No. Your sales, stock, customers, costs, production and profit data stays on your device.
lābhofy is designed to work without sending your day-to-day business data to a server.
What if I lose my phone?
Your business data lives on your device, so back it up regularly.
Use Settings → Backup to export a backup file. Keep it somewhere safe - Google Drive, a memory card, a PC or another storage location. You can restore the backup on a new phone.
Is it safe to install the APK from the website?
Android shows a warning when you install an app outside the Play Store. That's normal for sideloaded apps.
The lābhofy APK is built and signed by us and is served from the lābhofy website. lābhofy doesn't require a login, and your operational business data stays on your device.
I've been keeping records on paper. Can I switch to lābhofy mid-year?
Yes.
Opening Balances lets you enter your current stock, customer dues and supplier payables as your starting point. You can then continue from where your business is today without waiting for a new financial year.
My business only re-packs. Does lābhofy fit?
Yes.
Products can be made from raw materials or bought in bulk and re-packed. You can use either model or both.
Can I use lābhofy for both making and re-packing?
Yes. You can make some products from your own recipes while buying other products in bulk and packing them into your own SKUs.
Can I sell through WhatsApp?
Yes.
You can record orders that come through WhatsApp, phone calls, your shop, salesmen and other channels. With AIDEA, you can also share a WhatsApp message or voice note into lābhofy and turn it into a ready order.
Can my customers order from a website?
Yes.
lābhofy can be connected to a branded online store for your business. Publish your catalogue from the app, keep prices and stock in sync, and receive orders through WhatsApp.
The online store costs ₹3,000 for setup and ₹199/month for hosting and updates.
Is AIDEA the same as OCR or a scanner app?
No.
A normal OCR scanner turns a photo into text. It doesn't necessarily know that 25 is a quantity, ₹47 is a rate, or “AtoZ Traders” is the supplier.
AIDEA is designed to understand the business entry itself. It identifies the information it can, puts it into the appropriate fields and gives you a completed entry to check before saving.
Can AIDEA read handwritten bills?
Yes.
AIDEA is designed to handle real supplier bills, including handwritten and thermal-paper bills and bills in Malayalam or English.
If something is unclear, AIDEA leaves it for you to fill in rather than inventing a value. If an entry can't be read or processed, you don't lose a credit.
How much does AIDEA cost?
Every lābhofy install includes 10 free AI entries.
After that:

- 54 credits - ₹49
- 109 credits - ₹99
One credit covers one AI entry - purchase, production batch or order - regardless of whether you speak, type, paste, photograph or share it.
Credits never expire. A failed or unreadable entry doesn't use a credit.
What happens if AIDEA gets something wrong?
You review the entry before saving it.
You can correct anything AIDEA has misunderstood. Nothing is saved until you confirm the entry.
Does AIDEA keep my bills, voice recordings or messages?
No.
When you use AI Scanning, the capture is sent for processing and we don't keep a copy of it. Your operational business data remains on your device.
What does the lābhofy licence cost?
You can try lābhofy for free with all features unlocked, limited to 5 sales and 1 production batch.
The full licence is ₹1,999, paid once, per device.
There is no subscription and no renewal fee. Your trial data carries over when you activate the full licence.
What happens if I change my phone?
Your lābhofy data can be moved using the Backup and Restore feature.
Back up your existing phone, install lābhofy on the new phone and restore your business data.
Do I need to create an account?
No.
lābhofy is designed to work without a traditional account or login for the core app.
Can I use lābhofy on more than one phone?
The full licence is per device. Your business data can be restored onto another device using a backup, subject to the applicable licence for that device.
What happens to my data if I don't renew anything?
There is nothing to renew for the core lābhofy licence. The ₹1,999 licence is a one-time purchase.

What is included in the online store?
Your online store is set up for your business and connected to your lābhofy catalogue.
You can publish your products from the app, keep catalogue information and stock in sync, and receive customer orders through WhatsApp.
Setup is ₹3,000, followed by ₹199/month for hosting and updates.
What if I don't want an online store?
That's completely fine.
The online store is optional. lābhofy works as a standalone business app for buying, making, packing, selling, inventory, costs and earnings.
Do I need AIDEA to use lābhofy?
No.
AIDEA is an optional faster way to enter purchases, batches and orders. You can continue entering information manually whenever you prefer.
What happens when new features are added?
Your full lābhofy licence includes current and future features covered by the licence. Updates can add new capabilities without changing the way you use your existing business data.
